Climate change is greatly affecting the Alaskan Taiga. In Alaska's taiga they experience some of the greatest temperature increases on Earth. Winter temperatures have increased more than summer temperatures. That means in a couple hundred years that we could see only a few days of winter and an overtake of summer temperatures. In Fairbanks, Alaska the length of the frost-free season has increased by about 40 days.

In Alaska logging is also very important, but it is probably the #1 cause of the Alaskan taiga decreasing. Developers are cutting down trees to make streets and homes, but in the process they are taking down a beautiful forest full of rare species and creatures. What's even worse is that they will just continue to plow through the forest until there really is't a forest anymore. We need to band together and stop logging from taking over the Alaskan taiga.
